Program Description

Mathematics is one of the fundamental, most unified and universal sciences. The discipline of mathematics trains the mind to use logic and reason to discover new knowledge, and to make sense of what we already know. 

Here, you can embrace a community where passion for mathematics thrives, where related disciplines overlap, and where each individual journey is supported by meaningful relationships through mentoring and peer-to-peer collaboration.

Graduate degrees offered:

  • M.S. in Mathematics
  • Ph.D. in Mathematics
  • M.S. in Applied Mathematics
  • Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics
  • M.S. in Statistics

Candidates in the master's programs typically complete 30 credit hours. 

Ph.D. candidates typically complete the program in 5 - 7 years with additional credit hours (depending on entry level) as well as a dissertation.
